Vision and Mission

The Canadian Student Leadership Association is a federally registered charity in Canada. CSLA was originally founded in 1983 in order to support the continuation of our main event, the Canadian Student Leadership Conference (CSLC), but has since grown, and now distributes leadership resources, materials, scholarships, and organizes programs and events for its member schools across the country.

Vision:

Our vision is to build a strong community of secondary school students across the country who, inspired by their student leadership experiences, are actively engaged in their schools and communities and contributing to the betterment of society.

Mission Statement:

To support and encourage student leadership in Canada.

Goals:

  • Enable students to participate in national student leadership events and programs, including an annual national leadership conference.
  • Train secondary school educators to help guide student leaders in a variety of meaningful activities.
  • Create and distribute timely and superior resources for students and educators to foster the development of student leadership.
  • Support and promote other student leadership organizations, events, or programs
