It’s a good idea to put a countdown reminder for a major event in a visible place in your council office or front entrance of your school.
Tape Measure Countdown: to count down the last 30 days, hang a cloth tape measure in a visible place. As each day goes by, cut off an inch of the tape measure. The remaining inches indicate the number of days left until the designated date.
Toilet Paper Countdown: count the number of days remaining until the event. Write numbers in reverse order on each square of toilet paper. When you’ve reached the final number, wind the squares back onto the roll. Make a large sign saying, “Days remaining until ______________ “ and hand the roll in an area where people congregate. Tear off a square each day to reveal the number of days remaining.
