On March 14th, math teachers at Waterloo Collegiate bake pies and serve them to fellow staff members.
CHAT in Toronto has Pi Day, where students are challenged to repeat the number Pi to as many digits as possible from memory. This is a chance for some students who have never been part of a Spirit Day to shine with their talents.
The University of Waterloo celebrated in 2024 with the winner reciting pi to 878 digits and taking home $314. Your school could offer the winner 314 jellybeans if the budget numbers don't add up.
