For the last four-ish years, HMS has hosted a Student Appreciation Week to celebrate our students. It’s typically a spirit week that includes a giveaway (beads) and this year an assembly (staff v student games).
One of my favourite parts is that each teacher picks 10-12 students and writes them a personal card — every single student gets a card!! We typically host our week after the first round of testing so teachers can use the test taking time to write them (no extra work before/after school).
Then the cards are delivered right before our final tests. Talk about extra encouragement!!
