Every Thursday is Thoughtful Thursday in my classroom. During the week, students are encouraged to notice the thoughtful things their classmates demonstrate. They write up a Coyote Howl on the yellow slip of paper that states I want to give a Coyote Howl to… (they state the name and why) then sign their name and period. We read them out loud and clap and howl for the student, and they receive the piece of paper. That action is simple and yet really effective! Some students have friends in my different periods and can also send one to them too. Would like to see this happen school wide, but for now this is happening in my room.
